THE PENGUIN PROJECT FOUNDATION ARTIST SCHOLARSHIP 2020

The Penguin Project Foundation Artist Scholarship has been established to support Penguin artists who will be pursuing post-secondary education in a two- or four-year college or university or a trade/vocational/technical school. All information submitted will be held in confidence and used solely for the purpose of scholarship administration.

Amount:  $500-1000 for a one-year scholarship, 4 scholarships available

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduating high school senior in the spring of 2020, are at the end of your Transition program, or already enrolled in a post-secondary education
  • Will be attending an accredited two- or four-year college or university or trade/vocational/technical school in the fall 2020
  • Must have participated in a Penguin Project Chapter in 2019 as a fulltime artist for a minimum of three years OR during the last two years including the most recent production
  • All components of the application must be received by the due date

Deadline for submission is June 30th, 2020. Completed application, letters of recommendation, and transcript must all be received by deadline.

Use of scholarship funds: Scholarships will be paid directly to the institution of higher learning and may be applied to the cost of tuition, room and board, mandatory school fees, and books. Unique expenses (i.e. transportation, student aides, technology, etc.) to enable the student access to post-secondary school may also qualify and will be paid directly to recipient. If the recipient withdraws from school early, any unused funds will be returned to The Penguin Project Foundation.

We understand that artists of The Penguin Project have a variety of disabilities. We have made an attempt to create an application that includes all students with disabilities. Please answer each question carefully and as completely as possible.  If you are unable to complete the application on your own, you may have someone assist you, and they will need to verify their information in the Submission and Certification section.

If there is a question that does not apply to you, mark N/A in the section.
